Everyone is encouraged to participate in Bloomsday, including wheelchairs and children in strollers and Baby Joggers. All entrants, whether pushed or pushing, must be officially entered. In addition, because of safety-related problems in the past, all OPERATORS & OCCUPANTS of strollers, Baby Joggers, and noncompetitive wheelchairs MUST line up in the RED section and MUST WALK the entire course. There will be an approximately 70-minute start delay for this group.
IMPORTANT: Any operator or occupant of a stroller or wheelchair (except wheelchairs in the competitive division), and anyone assigned to the Red section, whose net time is faster than 1:40 will be disqualified. Your cooperation on these sensitive requirements is appreciated by all of the nearly 45,000 participants of the Lilac Bloomsday Run.
Operators and occupants of strollers, Baby Joggers and wheelchairs must accept the risks of participation in a group this large. Carefully read the release and disclaimer before entering.
Helmets are encouraged, especially for infants, toddlers, and physically challenged individuals.
