Rib-tickling team titles touted; Corporate Cup funnies finalized

Spokane, WA—In less than four weeks Bloomsday Corporate Cup teams will have a chance to see whose employees are fastest, but fast or slow, a few teams have already made a name for themselves in Bloomsday’s fourth annual “Best Team Name” competition. This year’s list of finalists (see below) ranges from B&B Physical Therapy’s “Achilles Healers” to Spokane Federal Credit Union’s “Giving You a Run For Your Money.” Those two are among a list of nineteen finalists, with the first, second and third-best names to be announced in the Bloomsday Souvenir Results Booklet distributed by The Inlander on Tuesday after the run.

“There were a lot of really great names this year,” said Corporate Cup Chair Carol Hunter. “I think some of these companies must spend all year thinking up their team names.”

Finalists were selected by a panel that included Bloomsday representatives and sponsors. Last year the panel selected STCU’s “We'll CU and Race You 12K” as their favorite.

For runners not part of the Corporate Cup Competition, Bloomsday registration is open for mailed entries until Tuesday, April 17. Online registration is available for the $14.00 fee until Sunday, April 22nd After that, the registration fee increases to $30.00, either online (April 23-29) or at the Convention Center on Bloomsday weekend.
