Bloomsday '06 online registration is open! Early entrants may win trip to St. Patrick's Day Dash

Spokane, WA—Early bird registration for the 30th annual Lilac Bloomsday Run is now open, and those who sign up by February 19th will have a chance to win a trip for two to one of Seattle’s most popular races, the St. Patrick’s Day Dash on March 12, 2006.
“We always encourage entrants to sign up early,” said Bloomsday Race Director Don Kardong. “And this year we’ll reward those who do with the chance to win a trip for two to one of Seattle’s largest and most entertaining running events.”
Everyone who enters Bloomsday online through February 19th will automatically be entered in the St. Patrick’s Day Dash drawing. The winner will receive roundtrip airfare for two from Spokane to Seattle, two nights (double occupancy) at the Hampton Inn in downtown Seattle, and free entry into the run.
Officially known as Henry Weinhard’s St. Patrick’s Day Dash, the event is described as “a nearly 3-1/2 mile jaunt from TS McHugh’s to Safeco Field to celebrate the arrival of spring and the Irish in us all.” Entrants are encouraged to “run, walk, jog or crawl” the distance. This is the 22nd annual Dash, which draws over 12,000 entrants each year. Prizes are awarded for “Best Wearin’ o’ the Green” and “Most Outrageous Costume.”
Bloomsday ’06 will be Sunday, May 7, 2006. Full details of the 30th annual event will be released in early March, at which time printed entry forms will be available at locations throughout the Inland Northwest.
